You will drive past the Texaco gas station. Take a left onto the street ‘Nikadel’. You pass a Greek restaurant on your right hand side. Continue until you reach a crossing with a shopping street on your left hand side (‘Dorpsstraat’). Cross (onto the ‘Badweg’). On your left hand side you see an internet café and right beside it a red and white barrier. You have reached the entrance to our parking lot. The yellow stone building you just passed is Hotel-restaurant Cooghen. When you drive up to the barrier it will open automatically. Welcome! All children under 2 years are charged EUR 10 per night and person for cots. All older children or adults are charged EUR 30 per night and person for extra beds. Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1. Extra beds and baby cots are upon request and need to be confirmed by the hotel. Supplements will not be calculated automatically in the total costs and have to be paid separately in the hotel. The hotel has a limited number of parking spaces for its guests for EUR 3,00 per day.

It is easy to drive by car free of traffic jams when coming from the west or the south of the Netherlands via the ring road Amsterdam (A10), Zaandam (A8), Purmerend, Hoorn and Den Oever (A7) to Den Helder (N99). From the east you drive over the Afsluitdijk (A7), via Den Oever to Den Helder. Den Helder can also be reached by train. From Den Helder the TESO ferryboat departs every hour (on the half hour), and will bring you to Texel within twenty minutes. It is not necessary to book in advance. On the island you drive to De Koog. There you follow the signposting to Grand Hotel Opduin. You can also make use of public transport or train-taxi. * Free parking *
