A XVII century building that originally was residence of the Abbot of the Church of San Miguel de Ampudia. Later it was acquired by Don Diego Garcia de Tovar, notary of Madrid and later of Ampudia. It is a two store building with its façade and principle entrance on the main Plaza. Various patios and outhouses allow further access through a secondary street. The materials used in its construction, (even though there have been some modifications over the years) are typical of the region. The wrought iron grating of the balconies as well as the a lot of the inferior doors of the house are originals from the XVII century. The interior maintains its splendor, full of antiquities. The most spectacular being the 6 metres high vault at the entrance, and the small chapel where the Abbot fulfilled his religious office. The original altar is in perfect condition as the statues and other religious paraphernalia. The restaurant in the hotel recently gets one Michelin Star.
